What we are about
CYC stands for Christadelphian Youth Circle. This is a gathering for Sydney young people of the Christadelphian faith from the ages of 15 to 30+.
The CYC gathers alternate Friday nights for Youth Group. These nights centred around the word of God are appreciated and enjoyed by everyone. They include Bible talks, study groups, meditational plays, and Song & Praise nights.
Nearly every third Saturday of the month an activity is organised to provide recreational activities. These are fantastic - ranging from study weekends to beach days, from Good Deeds days to boat days! While these are not only fun, the day activities are always completed with a short talk around God's word, which helps focus and centre our thoughts on the importance of Him and His Word in our lives.
OUR MISSION
- To help young people to love God, understand the importance of God's purpose as shown in His word, learn lessons from studying His word, how we can become like Him, and to attain to His Kingdom.
- While not only encouraging the young people to read, study and understand their Bibles and apply those lessons day to day, it is also a place where young people can form friendships. Many of these close friendships have been sustained after the young people have grown past the age of the CYC.
- To maintain a standard of godliness and separation at our various activities which distinguishes us as the sons and daughters of God (or wanting to be so).
